Jan, Elle, how are you both? I was able to find safe lodgings in a Greecian town populated by living statues. The people are quite fascinating - most of their everyday needs - clothing, food, weapons, etc., are carved from marble. They paint on hair and eye color, sometimes tattoos and jewelery too (the latter is done primarily by the lower classes). The place is lit to mimic 24 hour light changes and all it's color changes as well. During the day it's 'sunny', night has a 'sky' full of 'stars' (there's moon phases as well), sunrises and sets. Even go so far as to do rainfall (considered both beautiful and hygienic). The plumbing system is modern, so I don't lack for water. Food however meant a five mile travel from the town and thru a barren stretch of desert-like cavern to a D&D looking village with a public market in its square.

Both the power and Net connection are fully restored. Unlike the frogs, the gnats haven't been able to get that far down here due to various wards quickly put up during the brief lull between plagues.

I won't be able to leave here until maybe midnight, it all depends if another plague hits.

(After seeing what indeed turned out to be orcs hanging about outside a pub, I knew a dwarvian smith shop was probably somewhere about in the area. Simple matter of listening-in to a few warrior types conversing in the marketplace and finding out where it was located. The final arrangements for the sword forging will be done this evening)
