Messy as they are what with leaving slime trails and half-eaten gooey turkey and other remains everywhere, giant slugs are at least slow-moving and quiet.

With a light dousing of barbecue lighter fluid, they're highly flamable too.

They're disgusting.

Roasted slug's not a bad idea. I wonder if they're edible. I know that sea slugs are, but I'm not quite sure about these...

Setting them on fire? Now that's something I hadn't thought of yet.

That's wonderfully cruel.

I wouldn't try eating these, remind me too much of this dreadful horror movie called Slugs. Man accidently eats one of the killer slugs in a salad, you can probably figure-out the rest.

Burn, motherfuckers, burn!

[identity profile] valentineluke.livejournal.com 2006-11-27 05:17 am (UTC)(link)
Don't get too engrossed with what you're doing, don't want any of them sneaking-up on you.

Wasn't meant to be, didn't have enough salt to deal with the growing number and ignoring them wasn't an option. Enough of their weight on the balcony door could force it open.

Discovered a interesting side-effect of the burning, the slugs turn into smudge pots and the smoke coming from them is irritating to the live ones.

The smell of burnt flesh isn't pleasant, but so far I'm able to tolerate it.

Probably the best means of fighting them, soft moist bodies don't do well in searing heat.

I've seen worse.

[identity profile] not-avampire.livejournal.com 2006-11-27 07:39 pm (UTC)(link)
True. I was just hacking them to peices, but that gets tiring after a while. I'll sprinkle some petrol out my window and see how that works out.

Err... Yeah, nevermind then.
