After what happened yesterday coupled with DS's mention of biblical curses and the pirate captain's sea of blood, neither myself nor Jan are enjoying this curse. We have gorged ourselves but only as a precautionary measure. Something ominous is looming up on the horizon.

Begining to wonder if 'beat' has to do with 'hit', because we all are (in one way or another) been getting that done lately.

(To keep myself distracted (instead of waiting for IT to hit), have been reading up on various creatures that could be in a dwarf's world. Feel like a closeted gamer, any more of this and I'll be dwelling on dice rolls and alignments soon.

I do know there are certains types group within certain areas in the Underground. The 'people' in the area of Jan's place of work tend to be western type demons and monsters that are so individual they're the sole members of their species. The neighboring area is the Asian Demon District but not all who dwell there are demons. I've seen a number of Asian not-demon creatures.

Do wish I had explored more on my own in the past and questioned Jan too about the places down there. Pity I can't go to his weapon's dealer - he may not know much beyond knives but he would know of various metalsmiths.

Can't risk Jan getting tipped-off about what I am attempting to do for Rangiku. Been a long time since I've seen him in such a rage, before storming off to the spare room (punching holes along the way in the walls) tore his laptop to tiny pieces after she spoke to him. It's regenerating rather quickly, should be back to working order soon (not that he's in any hurry to get back online - doesn't want to talk to anybody right now). The walls are recovering as well. We haven't spoken about the incident, he doesn't want to discuss it, or rather her.

Why am I doing this? Because I feel the woman my brother once knew and cared for is still in there somewhere? That she is in danger and needs help (along with being used/influenced by the Red Guard's 'god', lost both Haineko and memories of Gin Ichimaru)? That I was asked to do this? Or is it due to a rush of excitement at once again doing something on the edge? Maybe it's all of the above.

No doubt about being definitely committed to the task. Along with the bestiaries, been looking over writings on Japanese swords as well. Rangiku wanted either a katana or wakazashi. Already knew the former was a long sword, but the latter was a mystery up until a few hours ago (short sword). One for open combat the other for close quarters, both usually kept together. Discovered there is a third sword, chisa katana, that is inbetween the two other lengths - this is the one!!

Will try Friday to search the Underground.

Eventually, will have to let Elle in on what I'm doing. Even while unconcious, she probably knows I've been handling her sword.)

Is it as good as from the vein?

You're getting sloppy. You forgot to clean the hilt the last time you touched the Hanzo.

Passible.

I did clean the sword while you were 'out'. However you know I wouldn't miss something like that, Jan must have needed to move it.

Either way, what were you doing handling frequently?

You better stop looking if you are thinking of getting a sword that measures close to mine.

You think he is ready for a sword? Last I knew he was still learning the ropes for the sai set.

Re: Filtered
I was looking into a different style, katana.

He's been wanting to learn for quite awhile. As for the sais, got frustrated and quit them for the time being. They are difficult to master.

Few swords can ever really compare is all I'm saying. Everything pales by comparison.

If Jan wants to be skilled, he should stick with the sais the dexterity will help with swordsmanship. It never hurts to be prepared. Jumping right into sword play may not be what he needs.
