No wonder angels (supposedly) lounge about on clouds, plenty of give in a 'cotton-ball'.

You can always cut them off.

I understand, normal people would die from such actions but... we are privileged.

I could easily do just that but they would probably regenerate.

Not fast enough, I think. It would take a day, at most. And we know curses last only a day.

I wouldn't put it past the curse in having the ability to speed-up the regeneration.

I could try it, but it would be useless now that it's almost midnight.

Well, the only recourse that can be offered then is to fold your wings and sit up straight.

I can't sit that way unless I'm straddling a kitchen chair backwards - the wings are long.

The only option is to lie on my stomach in bed. Makes for difficult reading.
